Floating-point exceptions

Postby Aline » Mon Jun 22, 2015 2:38 pm

Hi,
I'm running a series of relatively complex multistate models. With some of my models I am getting the following message:

Note: The following floating-point exceptions are signalling: IEEE_UNDERFLOW_FLAG IEEE_DENORMAL
STOP NORMAL EXIT

I'm trying to figure out if this is something I should be worried about. Is there any way to pinpoint where this is happening?

Thanks, Aline

This is a recent event that occurs with 64 bit version of MARK.exe. I chatted with Gary about this briefly and he said it occurred with the recent compiler change. He was not concerned about it. You will not get the warning under 32 bit version. Note that this is not an RMark issue. You can get the same thing with MARK interface but may not see the warning. Also note then when you run RMark from R32 it uses mark32.exe and when you use RMark from 64 bit R it uses mark64.exe. You can override that choice by renaming one of the exes to mark.exe and it will use that one.
