Individual covariates and interaction terms - known fate

I’m hoping someone can advise if it is possible to create an interaction effect for two individual covariates within the known fate model. The approach using the “product of columns” option in the Design Matrix will work for columns other than those which are individual covariates, but doesn’t appear to work for individual covariates. Is it possible to do this for individual covariates?

Sure - look at the product function, one of the 8 special functions available two you in the design matrix - these are described in the -sidebar- on pp. 20-21 in Chapter 12. I'm guessing you must not have read the chapter through - probably worth doing before you proceed much further.
