pasting design matrices

Postby Lyndon » Wed Feb 15, 2012 7:40 pm

I commonly paste design matrices from a spreadsheet. I've not had problems with this before but now find that Mark will not accept design matrices I'm trying to paste in for a Closed Robust Design model (28 primary periods, 132 occasions). What I mean by 'not accept' is that nothing happens when I either CTRL V, or click to paste. The model runs fine from PIMS or the PIM chart but I want to fit some covariates. Has anyone had a similar problem or have a suggestion for what I might try?

I wonder what would happen if you tried pasting in a matrix of all 1's? Perhaps part of the matrix that you're trying to paste is confusing MARK, sometimes MARK just ignores the user it's fed information it cannot interpret. If all the 1's paste without any issue, then you could look at your matrix, in Excel (or wherever it may be), for potential conflicts and go through a process of trial and error copy/pastes...just some thoughts. -- andre
