update needed in nest survival chapter

Postby cooch » Thu Oct 27, 2011 11:40 am

Brett Sandercock just emailed me the following observation:

Pg 11-23 notes that the "Colxx" option for DM functions has been removed from Mark.
Pg 17-15 Rotella uses the Colxx option in an example function at the bottom of the page.
I was reviewing the manual to remind myself how to handle nest age at discovery as a covariate.

As Brett notes, the method Jay Rotella describes in the example in the NS chapter for handling the DM function no longer works (since Gary removed Colxx from MARK). I'm posting this here, both to alert Jay, but also anyone who might be working with these models before Jay gets a chance to update the text.

Thanks for spotting this, Brett.

Reminder that individual chapters are always the most recent. Simply confirm by checking the time stamp in the lower right-hand corner of the first page of a given chapter.
