Dots in Occupancy Royle Count Models

Postby pcutter » Tue Aug 11, 2009 5:00 pm

I am trying to get the Occupancy Royle Count Models environment to run with capture histories that include dots (site unsurveyed during one or more survey events).

the model doesn't seem to like the dots but I wanted to confirm this if at all possible.

Thanks in advance!

Royle model missing values

Postby jhines » Tue Aug 11, 2009 5:40 pm

PRESENCE should accept '-' or '.' for missing data. I suspect there are invisible characters somewhere in the input. You can use Notepad++ to view the input file (*.pao) to find them. Otherwise, you can send me the file (off list).

Thanks very much Jim,

Although my original post was with regard to MARK, I've now got it going (basic model at least) in PRESENCE.

Probably one or two follow up questions to follow...
