help using random effects methodology

Postby kstanford » Tue Apr 14, 2009 9:50 am

Hi All~

Could someone please point me in the direction of the best references (or chapters in the MARK book) for using random effects methodology and variance decomposition analysis in MARK. I do already have Burnham and White 2002. I have RTFM, however I will admit that I have many past versions of the manual and have been unable to locate the relevant sections (if there are any) on this topic in the updated chapters.

Thanks,

Kristin

Nothing formal as of yet (will be wrapped up in chapter on MCMC methods). In the interim, look at the White, Burnham & Anderson 'Hungary' paper linked on Gary's MARK site.

Thanks much!

This is not the easiest material to grasp! I'll look forward to your upcoming chapter....you do a fantastic job of explaining this stuff!
