double check on removal estimation method?

Postby erichowe » Mon Mar 22, 2004 1:42 pm

Am I doing this correctly?

I have data from three removals (no replacement), with unequal capture probabilities. I code them in as:

100 461;
010 347;
001 64;

then use Huggins closed capture model (I want to estimate p and N). In the PIM, I set p as changing across time, and make c constant. (Do I set c as a fixed parameter to zero in the run window?). Then run the model, and then go to derived parameter estimates from the output pulldown and there I will have the estimate of N-hat, SE, and confidence intervals, correct?

many thanks!
