The University of Oslo’s Centre for Computational Data Science has an opening for 18 three-year postdoc positions (and 18 more will be announced next year): https://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/255679/dstrain-msca-postdoctoral-fellowships-in-computational-and-natural-sciences-18-positions
Applicants must include a research proposal within selected themes. I would be happy to advice applicants who want to submit proposals under the theme “Population ecology, monitoring and management” (https://www.uio.no/dscience/english/dstrain/research-areas/biosciences/population-ecology-monitoring-and-management/).
I would be particularly keen on supporting proposals involving capture-recapture analysis (including spatial and continuous time models), spatio-temporal occupancy models, abundance models, demography, life-history, disease dynamics, and monitoring technology (e.g., acoustics, camera traps, drones).
Note that some of the themes listed under “Mathematics and Statistics” may also include applications in ecology; particularly “Explainable statistical models” and “Bayesian machine learning”.
Application deadline is 14th of April 2024.
Starting date, at least part time, no later than 1st of October 2024. Current PhD-students must have defended their dissertation before the application deadline.
