Single Cohort Analysis

Postby sallyg » Wed Feb 25, 2004 2:48 pm

Greetings,

I am working with a 13 year data set for a single cohort of animals, meaning all the animals were given individual marks on the first year and then sampled for in the following years, but no new indivduals were marked after the first year. "A Gentle Introduction" makes reference to this type of mark-release scheme on page 4 of chapter 4 when describing PIMs but I was not able to find any other references to this (batch-mark) in the rest of the book. I assume the PIM needs to be altered to take into account that there was only 1 cohort, but I am not sure in what way it should be altered. I intend on including time and group effects on both survival and recapture rate in the global model. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
