Dynamic Memory Low

Postby sharpnw » Wed Jan 28, 2004 2:03 pm

I searched the old list-serve and found a couple of references to the error "Dynamic Memory Low" but found no explaination of what this error means. The machine I am using has a Pentium 4 processor with 2.4 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. I don't believe the problem is my machine.

My study is a randomized block design with 3 replications of 5 treatments, spanning 3 years. I am attempting to run the Robust Design with 49 encounter occasions and 15 groups. Could this be too many parameters for MARK? I know the help files claim MARK is limited only by computer memory, but. . .

I can get MARK to work with my data if I enter it as 1 group and then use dummy variables to represent the 15 experimental units, but then I have to go back and calculate survival, population size, etc. for the 15 experimental units "by hand."

Can anyone explain the "Dynamic Memory Low" error and suggest what to do about it?

Thanks
N
