Nest survival input w/covs

Postby adri » Fri Feb 23, 2007 6:11 pm

Here are the first 3 lines of my nest survival input file. I have 5 required columns (start day, last live, lastday, fate, history) followed by 7 covariate columns. When I open the new file, I tell MARK that I have 7 covariates, but it doesn't believe me and I get an error message when I try to run a model saying I don't have enough cov values. If I lie and tell it to look for 6 covs, it runs. Why oh why can't it seem to find my last covariate value?

Nest Survival Group=1;
/*ES05FL027*/ 1 1 2 1 1 125 0 0 1 0 0 0 ;
/*ES05FL018*/ 1 8 8 0 1 15 1 0 0 0 0 0 ;

I would bet you have one or more special characters embedded in the input line. Open the file up with WordPad and then save it in the DOS text format to get rid of the special characters.

If that doesn't work, send me the input file and I'll look at it with other software to figure out what might be happening.
