Supplementing Capture Histories with Telemetry

Hey All,

We have analyzed a DNA-based mark-recapture dataset for grizzly bears (2005-2013) using an open pradel robust design model to estimate realized growth and apparent recruitment and survival. This worked well.

We have also physically captured and collared about half of this population and have a suite of other information for many bears such as

1) age and relatedness to other bears. We can use this to infer which bears were likely born in the census areas and have always been present (little to no immigration),but not detected at times.

2) whether they were alive (collared), but not detected with hair traps for a given session,

3) The approximate (often an exact) date of death

I am aware of the live-dead models, and the multi-state models but I was curious whether these sort of data can be incorporated into Pradel open robust models? I searched the MARK book for any basics on incorporating telemetry data but I mostly found information for correcting density estimates with telemetry. Any ideas?

Cheers
