Population ecologist - Isle of May Long-Term Study

Postby Morten Frederiksen » Fri Oct 26, 2007 9:37 am

The UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology is recruiting a population ecologist to work with one of the most comprehensive long-term, individual-based demographic studies, namely the Isle of May seabird study. This is in fact a replacement for me, after I returned to a job in my native Denmark earlier this year :P

This should be a very attractive opportunity for a young scientist. Note that although the position is recruited at a postdoctoral level, it is a permanent position (or open-ended as they say in the UK). Note also that under EU legislation it is very difficult to recruit citizens of countries outside EU and EEA (which includes e.g. Switzerland and Norway) to such a job. In essence, this is only possible if no qualified candidate can be found within these countries.

The position is announced here: http://www.ceh.ac.uk/personnel/AnimalPo ... ogist.html

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this job.
