We are thrilled to announce a fully-funded, three-to-four-year PhD position within the "WildIntel" project in collaboration with the European Commission's Biodiversa+ Joint Research Call 2022-2033 and the Norwegian Research Council. This opportunity, situated at the Department of Natural Sciences and Environmental Health at the University of South-Eastern Norway, is based in Bø, nestled within the picturesque Municipality of Midt-Telemark, Telemark County, Norway.

The role offers an exceptional chance to delve into cutting-edge wildlife and biodiversity monitoring research. Our interdisciplinary approach will employ hierarchical modeling to tackle biases from camera trapping and classification systems such as artificial intelligence and citizen science. By developing a transnational protocol, we aim to derive unbiased demographic estimates of species and communities, with a keen focus on mammals as vital indicators of ecosystem health.
