No result output in E-Surge

Postby cami » Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:46 am

Hello,

I have some problems when running models on E-Surge: the model runs, but then the following message appears:
??? Error using ==> win_open_mex
The file name association is incomplete or invalid.
Error in ==> winopen at 54
Error in ==> rhicc at 153
Error in ==> menumuse>Run_Callback at 1623
Error in ==> gui_mainfcn at 96
Error in ==> menumuse a 45
??? Error while evaluating uicontrol Callback.

And the results don't appear in the output box.
I'm running a very simple time-dependant model, with a dataset with 10 occasions and 2 groups (males and females). I believe that my data file is ok, as it runs on U-Care.
I'm using E-Surge version 1.7.1 on Windows 7.

Does anyone know where the problem comes from?
Thanks.

Hello,
I've got a similar problem as E-surge doesn't seem able to write output files for some of my models although it does with others in the same session. All models converged properly and the rank of the model was estimated before I get an error message complaining about 'memory'. I can't find obvious relationships between this problem and the complexity of the model.
Any ideas to this very frustrating issue?!

This is the error message I get:
??? Error using ==> zeros
out of memory. Type HELP MEMORY for your options.
Error in ==> modme.generalicc at 33
Error in ==> rhicc at 130
Error in ==> menumuse>Run_Callback at 1623
Error in ==> gui_mainfcn at 96
Error in ==> menumuse a 45
??? Error while evaluating uicontrol Callback.

I'm using E-surge V1.7.1
Regards,

Marie

Read the following paragraph:

ASSOCIATIONS (done automatically during installation for windows XP):
E-SURGE results are saved in files with extension ".out" (e.g. "model1.out"). They can be accessed from E-SURGE
provided an editor is associated to this extension. To activate this possibility, prior to running E-SURGE
associate files with extension ".out" to an editor. This can be done simply by creating a text file named,
say, tempo.out, and following the dialogue after having double-clicked on this file. Because of potential
side effects we recommend you choose "Wordpad".

There is also less problem with the new version 1.8.5 but the association remains to be done to read output file.
