installation problem

Postby swisstea » Tue Sep 19, 2006 3:16 am

Hello! I have a problem: U-CARE is not running. After successful installation I try to start the software, the black window appears and immediately afterwards there comes the message: 'could not find file mclmcrrt72.dll', thus it couldn't start the application!
what's weird is that on my wife's notebook I tried it as wells and it works!
Does anybody have an idea why my DELL inspiron can't get it?
thanks

Hello,

Please read the text below. In particular, you will see that the first step consist in the installation of some librairies for U-CARE and M-SURGE.

Rémi

------------------------ INSTALLATION ----------------------------------------------------

DATE : 05/23/2006

VERSIONS: Matlab Component Runtime (MCR) 7.2
U-CARE 2.2.2 & 2.2.5
M-SURGE 1.7.1 & 1.8.1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a) Download and execute the program "setup-FIRST-STEP 7.2.exe".

The installation of the library Matlab Component Runtime (MCR) version 7.2 needed by U-CARE and
M-SURGE then takes place. Skip this step if the library is already installed. During a), the
$PATH variable will be changed to take into account MCR.

b) Download and run the program "setup-U-CARE 2.2.5.exe".

c) Download and run the program "setup-M-SURGE 1.8.1.exe".

In step c), under Windows XP, files with extension "*.out" are automatically associated with WORDPAD.
Under exploitation system other than Windows XP, you have to associate files with extension ".out"
with WORDPAD or the program of your choice. In order to do so:
1) select any file of type ".out",
2) click the right mouse button,
3) choose <<open with>>, <<choose the program>>,
4) select WORDPAD or the program of our choice and select <<always use this program>>.

d) Re-boot the computer

e) You can run M-SURGE or U-CARE.
