Error : constraint matrix

Postby Onyssius » Mon Jul 08, 2013 1:34 pm

Hello,

I'm studying Bearded vultures, I have a capture-recapture file. I would like to have the survival rate and capture probability.

When I try to analyze my data, I get the error "The constraint matrix is too large to be displayed here, You may use the save file with constraint matrix option, and display the file with an editor".

I really don't understand what is the matter... [I'm sorry for my bad english.]

Thanks for any help.

This is not a error. The fact that the constraint matrix is too large to be displayed,
doesn't mean that the constraint matrix has not been built.

Thank you for your answer.

After this message, I can't continue the analysis , can you tell me what am I suppose to do ?
How can I continue,

Thank you again !

Hello,
You gave me very few information.
Is there something written on the command window (the black box) ?
Otherwise, the manual gives a step by step example to start with.
Sincerely,

Sorry for my late answer,

I have 26 years of resight data of 63 birds, 3 sexes (groups).

I tried to do the analysis with the manual. I choose a model with combined survival-transition. I want to do a Gemaco model, with capture and survival depending on t.

There, I have the message "The constraint matrix is too large to be displayed here, You may use the save file with constraint matrix option, and display the file with an editor"

and then, a little window with "constraint matrix not well defined", there is nothing in the black box, at this moment I really don't know what I'm supposed to do.

Thanks for reading me.

This is because you didn't built all the constraint matrices (at least one for each type of parameter).
Select the menu Gemaco > Call Gemaco (all phrases).
