model averaging from different sites

[unparseable or potentially dangerous latex formula]Dear forum members,

I have problem of understanding model averaging though I read "A Gentle Introduction" by Cooch and While (2011) chapter 4 and 11.

My data is from weekly survival data of cjs model from two different sites from different years.
Now, I have a set of models with site type, year as co-variates. I have also general models without any co-variates. All these specific models have different weight.

I would like to calculate survival probability in different years in two different sites using model averaging.

When I will do model averaging, should I exclude general models which are without any co-variates though they carrying weights. General models without co-variates might influence model averaging of each particular site or year.

Your help will be highly appreciated.
