Program DISTANCE maximum observations?

Postby soldenburger » Tue Oct 15, 2013 11:00 am

Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of observations that Program DISTANCE can handle or maximum number of integers for labels? I have a dataset with over 40,000 observations on birds. The maximum distance is 1000 m on observations and the largest cluster size is 75. The transect name is a maximum of 8 digits.

Probably should learn R, right? Yes, heard it before. Thanks in advance.

Program DISTANCE isn't 'officially' supported on this forum (as in, there isn't a sub-forum for DISTANCE questions). Having said that, a lot of forum users have some -> lot of experience with DISTANCE, and might be able to answer your question.

Failing that, the DISTANCE maillist: http://www.ruwpa.st-and.ac.uk/distance/ ... elist.html

I will forward my question to that maillist if I have further issues. I did not know how active the listserv was comparatively to this forum. Thank you for your response.
