Greetings -
As the first of several steps in releasing Edition 7 (hopefully by the end of the summer), I've done some significant tweaking, and revising, to current material. Most important for many folks is that I've consolidated old Chapter 4 and 6, which were redundant in several respects. So, the basics of building models using PIMs, and a somewhat expanded section on model selection, LRT and so forth, are now covered in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 stays the same, whereas all chapter >5 in the old book are now 'moved up one' (so, for example, old Chapter 7 - linear models, is now Chapter 6, and so forth).
While I think this change was long overdue, it will cause a few problems:
1. anyone with teaching sites pointing to one or more chapters directly will need to update their links
2. references in the discussion forum to a particular chapter may now point to the wrong one. I'm working on a script to automatically search and replace, but this may not be as easy as I would like.
