Error in New MARK

Hi Gary, (I think this message needs to be addressed by Gary, I think.)

I upgraded to the latest version of MARK today. I uninstalled the old version, reinstalled the new one, got the following problem, uninstalled it again, rebooted the computer, downloaded the software, reinstalled it, and got the same following error message. So, I think the problem is in the software, not in my computer.

When I try to start a new closed capture analysis, I get the following ERROR message window and MARK shuts itself down.

Error Code: 2[ BOUND ERROR ]
Subsystem: BASE
Function: ARRAYGET
Argument: 0
CallStack:
INITIALVALS: BUTTONCLICK (Line 33)
MYTOPAPPWIN: FILENEW (Line: 23)
MYTOPAPPWIN: NEWFILE (Line: 3)
APP:START (Line: 317)
START (Line: 8).

If I click Ignore, I get the following message:

Error Code: 50[ ACCESS VIOLATION ]
Subsystem: V0-CODE
Error Subcode: 5333
Argument Number: 2
Description: Applilcation Code Error causing Access Violation
CallStack:
INITIALVALS: BUTTONCLICK (Line 33)
MYTOPAPPWIN: FILENEW (Line: 23)
MYTOPAPPWIN: NEWFILE (Line: 3)
APP:START (Line: 317)
START (Line: 8).

I then have to Abort, which closes MARK.

Am I banned from using MARK? Were there some soft of dues that I missed paying? :)

Thanks,

Tomo Eguchi

Tomo:
36 people in the MARK workshop here in Fort Collins just installed MARK from the same setup.exe file that you downloaded, and nobody had this problem. I suspect there is something happening with your particular machine.
Gary

Any other suggestions?

Hi Gary,

That wasn't very helpful...

Do all error messages mean something? When I install MARK, I get a warning message about not finding Graphdt.ocx file. Anything to do with this?

Also when I uninstall MARK, I get a warning saying Unable to register component: C:\WINDOWS\system32\fpcd13n.dll. The specified module could not be found.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tomo

Hi again,

I uninstalled MARK, deleted the folder, and reinstalled MARK. Guess what? Yes, it works. Mystery, but I don't mind if it works.

Thanks!

Tomo
