dump to excel problem

Postby jstetz » Fri Dec 17, 2010 3:34 pm

When I try to get my individual covariate estimates into excel, MARK crashes. I saw on the FAQ page about the issue with Excel 2007, but I am running 2003. For fun, I tried checking the 2007 box, but no surprise, had the same result. This occurs with multiple models within and across projects. The plot within MARK displays fine. Suggestions? Thanks.

So you're the *one* who actually looked at the FAQ. Congratulations! ;-)

'Bug reports' (or similar postings) go into the 'software updates' subforum (although I acknowledge that it isn't obvious from the name -- will change that in a few weeks when I do a system upgrade).

In the interim,

1. shutdown MARK (make sure you have the most recent build).

2. delete any .tmp files which aren't deleted when you shut down MARK (if any remain).

3. reboot the machine

4. try again

If that doesn't work, then hard to advise.

jstetz,
I had this happen fairly regularly to me a while back. Evan is correct (and should be as he WTFM) on getting rid of all the temp files and rebooting as that was the solution I used my system. I also found out (through trial and error) that i seemed to have increased frequency of this happening as I moved up the OS list for microsoft ( went back to XP, never happened to me again, no idea why). One other solution you might try is to build a new project folder and copy/paste your .dbf, etc. into there and then reopen the project and try from there as that worked for me as well.
