As the MARK book has gotten bigger (600+ pages at present), its become more and more unweildy to distribute it as a series of individual chapters.
As such, I've made the Draconian decision to split the book into 3 volumes: basics (chapters 1 to 8, inclusive), advanced (chapters 9 and above), and appendices. There is also still the single file version of the entire book. All are now being made available as zipped PDF files.
I'll rebuild and reindex all 3 volumes once each month (and post most recent build date on the website). This way, whatever you download in a given month will be virtually in canonical form.
The good news (for me) is this is much easier to maintain. The bad news for some of you is that you are no longer able to link to individual chapters. This is a problem especially for those of you using the MARK book (or parts thereof) in classes. While the new approach is somewhat of a pain, the positive spin (from my perspective) is that be treating things in 'volumes', students (especially) will be more inclined to cover all the material in a volume. This is especially true for volume 1. I've had enough questions over the years from people who could have answered things for themselves if they'd read all the basic chapters to hope this works.
We'll give this a try for now. Obviously, I like it. But, if it causes too many hassles for the end users, we can re-visit.
