goodness of fit test for false positives

Postby jeells0 » Mon Nov 04, 2019 12:54 pm

Hello,

I'm using the false positive model to test my rate of detection in pathogen sampling. I was able to average the models and use the AICc score to choose the best model. A member of my committee also wants me to include a goodness of fit test with the models. I noticed it is not an option when you run the model and other people familiar with Presence weren't sure why. Is it because with the false positives you could have varying numbers for the expected outcomes given your uncertainty? Also, is it possible to easily run a goodness of fit test on these models? I am new to this program and any insight is appreciated.

Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen,

I've enabled the GOF test for the single-season, false-positive model in Presence (and RPresence). If you download the latest version, you can try it out.

Cheers,

Jim
