Use of psiAB estimates as response variable

Postby jhubbell072786 » Wed Jul 31, 2019 3:50 pm

Hi Presence Users,

Quick question regarding the two-species model. I haven't seen this in the literature...yet, so I thought I'd
try to get some insight regarding the following analysis.

Following Richmond et al. (2010), psiAB = psiA * psiBA. Using this equation, I wish to calculate predicted probabilities for the probability of coexistence (psiAB) for each study site. The goal is to then look at the correlation between landscape characteristics (since this is looking at the co-occurrence of stream fish, we're interested in habitat variables such as stream size, etc), and psiAB for three species pairs. However, I thought I'd try to get some insight into whether such an approach would prompt any intensive criticism from potential reviewers. Thoughts?

Regards,

Josh
