Underdispersed Model Fit (C(hat<1) ?

Postby kanchan1234 » Sun Jun 01, 2014 2:43 pm

Hi all

I am analyzing the prey occupancy for principal prey of tigers in my study areas. I am getting c(hat) less than 1 when assessing goodness of fit test. This explain the dispersion in my data sets. So do my occupancy estimates still valid when c(hat) is less than 1 ?.

Chapter 5 (section 1) of the book "Program MARK - a gentle introduction" offers some advice on how to proceed when c-hat is < 1.
