Overdispersion

Does Presence have the ability to calculate Overdispersion (c hat) and if so what options allow for it in single season models?

Yes. Check the 'Assess model fit' option down the right hand side of the model setup window to run the goodness of fit test described in MacKenzie and Bailey (2004). If you then think you need to adjust for c-hat, do so from the Tools menu. Note that this only adjusts the on-screen aic values, it doesn't change the values in the output files for each model and you need to manually adjust SE's.

Thank you. I had an older version and it kept crashing when I attemped to assess model fitness. I thought I was doing something wrong. However, I updated to the newer version and moved to a computer with a more modern processor and it is working great. Thank you for the information.
