c-hat in spatial correlation model

Postby athimmay » Tue Apr 20, 2010 6:00 pm

I am building an occupancy model based on data collected from transect sections, so I am using the spatial correlation model in Presence. I would like to assess the fit of the models, but as Presence does not do a goodness-of-fit test for the spatial correlation model, I need to figure out how to do it on my own. When I run the model without the spatial correlation parameter I get a very low c-hat (c-hat=0.3), is this at all applicable to the model when I add the two extra parameters in the spatial correlation model? Can I calculate c-hat from the parametric bootstrap method outlined in MacKenzie and Bailey 2004?
What is the correct way to deal with model fit in the spatial correlation model?
Thank you
