I am running a single season, single species analysis with various combinations of 5 site covariates. Results of a chi squared model fit test on the most parameterized model indicate that detection histories frequencies are statisically close to expected values. However, one (out of 14) of the histories is quite large resulting in a large chi square test value of 29.1797. Bootstrap testing of chi squared values produces a c-hat value of 1.0456.
Does this c-hat value indicate a good fit for the model? Is it enough to assume the model fits?
Thanks!
