GOF and multi-season occupancy

Postby geoffwah » Mon Jan 26, 2009 9:04 pm

Hi All

I was just hoping for an update on the state of play re GOF tests for multiseason occupancy models. My understanding is that no specific test is available for multiseason models, with that of Mackenzie and Bailey (2004) being restricted to the single-season case....

Would much appreciate any advice.

Regards

Hi Geoff,
As far as I know (not that I know everything mind you) nothing has been developed specifically for this case. Only things that springs immediately to mind is the use of "Bayesian p-values", but that requires dipping in to the Bayesian world (which can be refreshing).

Hi all,

As I would like to use the multi-season occupancy models of Presence as well I was wondering if there are any news regarding GOF tests for those?

If not I was wondering if there are any "easy" ways to get an estimate of GOF for the models and how you usually go about testing for GOF in those cases?

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Cheers,
Richard
