capture history for removal study

Postby jbaum » Fri Mar 12, 2004 11:20 am

I am trying to estimate N and capture p from a 'removal by marking' study we did with an assumed closed population of small mammals. I also would like to test for constant capture p. White et. al. have a great example of this that they did in in their Capture-Recapture and Removal Methods for Sampling Closed Populations (p 109). They used CAPTURE, but supposedly MARK is capable. I am having difficulties figuring out how to format my encounter history input files to MARK's liking.

Any tips to get me started would be greatly appreciated.

I think you might be able to find some help with what you are looking for here or here. Both from Cooch and White's Gentle Intro to MARK (on this server).
