Individual Covariates and GOF - Tests

Postby Bernd Gruber » Sun Mar 07, 2004 11:15 pm

Hi there,

I am currently running capture/recapture models in Mark with an individual covariate. In the "Gentle introduction" I found a statement that up to now there is no way to include a individual covariate into the GOF testing procedure for calculating c-hat and checking for goodness of fit. Is this still state of the art, or are there methods that can deal with individual covariates in GOF-tests. If it is still not possible (I assume the most appropriate thing to do is to use the most common candidate model for the gof testing) can anyone post me a reference for this. If not can I use the "gentle introduction" as a reference, because I remember from an earlier post that this is not liked by the authors of the "gentle introduction"

Thanks for the help in advance,

Bernd
