Hi, I am quite new to using MARK and I need some help! I have data from a study population over seven years and I wish to do age-specific survival over the seven years. So I have 53 encounter occasions all in the one input file. I have individuals marked as juveniles and as adults, so I have put these into two groups (which is what the MARK book says to do). I want to know recapture and recruitment probabilities as well, so have been using Pradel survival and recruitment models. So, say I wanted to look at two age classes - juveniles and adults - in the PIM chart I select two age classes for the group marked as juveniles, but for the group marked as adults, obviously they are only going to be adults, so one age class. The trouble is, I have no idea how to get MARK to distinguish between the different years in my input file, or how to determine when a juvenile turns into an adult.
Not sure that made any sense, but any help would be appreciated!
Cheers,
Veronica.
