c-hat in closed capture simulations

Postby vincenzo gervasi » Sat Aug 12, 2006 5:01 am

I have a question about how to determine the value of c-hat in closed-capture simulations.
I am simulating the performance of different models in estimating animal abundance for a small population of brown bears. Should I leave the default value of 1.0, since the real and estimation model are always the same, or should I deal this matter in a different way? How can I interpret the c-hat values coming out from the simulations?

Thank you,
