Hi you all!
As suggested by jlaake, I am studying the possibility of fitting MS models to my data of frogs. Reading I reached to the MSCRD, which I would like to try.
My data set consists of 12 primary (seasonal) encounter occasions (two of them could not be achieved, so they're represented with dots), each of them with two secondary (daily) encounter occasions. And I have one group with three observable states: juveniles, males and females.
So my encounter histories look like this:
J0000000F0..00000000..F0 1;
J0M0M00000..0M000000..00 1;
I am not interested in modeling unobservable states, just S and p for the observable ones, and transitions from J to F and from J to M.
Is it possible to do? How can I do it?
Because at the beggining of the analysis in MARK (setting MSCRD, full likelyhood p and c), I can set three states, but when I get to the PIMS, S for one of the states is missing. Is it because I have >2 states?
Maybe I am doing something wrong...
Thanks a lot!
