fixing lots of parameters...1 model at a time?

Postby jschmutz » Wed Aug 19, 2015 4:43 pm

I'm setting up a multi-state cjs model wherein I control the actual state of the animal (in this case, it is either "seen" or "physically captured"). The transition between these states is under my control and thus, in a fully parameterized model, the estimated transitions between states is the realized frequency of how many animals at time 0 are in now in the other state at time 1. Thus, I plan to use these frequencies as fixed parameters, and thus my inference is just about survival differences between groups, but with the complication that any one individual could be in different states in other points of time. I am basically just searching for a way to fix lots of parameters (40 per model). It seems each time a do a new model, I need to input all the fixed parameter values. Is there a way to simply cut and paste all these fixed parameters into a new model? Thanks. - joel
