questions concerning analysis/theory using program MARK

known fate encounter history

I am new to both the forum and program mark. I have 2 questions today and hope they do not bore you.

1) I am looking at telemetry data from moose that were tracked biweekly for 4 years. I want to look at both seasonal and annual survival rates. I will be using the known fate model with a few covariates. How do I enter each encounter when each season is comprised of a different number of days?

2) I will also be looking at calving data from collared cows comprising of biweekly visual observations of their non-collared neonates from birth until dates neonates went "missing". No mortalities of calves could be confirmed just presence or absence through direct observation. In determining survival what model would best fit this data?
