help setting up model

Postby Boxor » Tue Oct 19, 2010 5:49 pm

I want to use the model, {Phi(a3-t/t/c), p(t)} 15 & 16 = 1} to analyze some data I have. How do I input just this model into MARK or see the pim from the analysis that used this model in a previous analysis. I just want to make sure I duplicate this model exactly when I feed it the new data. What is the easiest way to do this?

I assume this is a CJS model, but other than that I have no idea what your model name implies about model structure. As for putting a model into MARK, just do what you did before. To see the PIMs from what you did before, open the results file in MARK and look at the PIMs.

Use RMark

I didn't do the previous analysis but have been asked to re-run this model now since we have a couple of additional years of data. If I open the results from the last analysis and ask it to show the pim it looks like a standard cjs model. It doesn't seem to be representing what this model should be doing which is: phi has 3 age classes (age-1 = year specific, age-2 = year-specific and age-3+ is constant), p is year- specific. Is there a way to just specify this model structure without having to manually populate the pim? Obviously, I don't use MARK much but no else here does either so I get to figure it out.

Magic?

Seriously, there is some documentation for age-specific CJS in the Gentle Introduction. Sounds like you have some reading to do.
