Viewing entire PIM window

Postby gillian » Fri Apr 23, 2004 12:59 pm

Does anyone have a tip as to how to view the bottom rows of a large PIM (no vertical scroll bar in the PIM window). Other than finding a bigger monitor, I haven't been able to come up with a solution.
Thanks

You have 2 choices:

snotty answer - buy a bigger monitor. A 19-inch CRT monitor runs for about $125 these days. On a 19-inch monitor, running at 1600x1200 resolution, I can see a PIM with 65 occasions no problem.

helpful answer - copy the PIM to the clipboard (simply right-click within the PIM), and paste it into something you CAN scroll/resize. Modify it there, then copy it back into the clipboard, then bacck into the PIM. Cumbersome but it works just fine. This is your best bet for now.

Viewing a PIM that is larger than your screen

Another trick to just view the PIMs when they are so large that you can't scroll the screen to see them is to save the model structure (use the Run | Save model structure for running later, also the yellow "Arrow" button that is the right-most button in the row). Then view the saved model in the notepad window using the second button from the left that opens the model output into a notepad window. The rows of the PIMs will be wrapped, but you will be able to see all the values.
