Huggins Closed Captures with dots -- Bug Fixed

Postby gwhite » Tue Mar 03, 2009 7:19 pm

I fixed a bug in the Huggins closed captures models when dots were used in the encounter histories. The old code was not correctly adjusting the likelihood for the unobservable encounter history where animals were never seen. This bug affected all of the Huggins models with dots, including closed captures, robust design, and robust design multi-state dat types. If you are using these data types with dots in the encounter history, you probably want to re-run your models.

This bug fix now makes running removal models with dots following the encounter work correctly as long as you do not code the count as negative.
