Barker Robust Design Error Message

Postby AndrewYoak » Thu Mar 19, 2015 12:02 pm

I'm working with a dataset of 153 secondary sessions grouped into 23 primary sessions. We trapped for a week at the end of every month. My question revolves around an error message I'm getting when I attempt to input the .inp file.

1. I select the appropriate .inp then I enter 153 as the encounter occasions number.

2. I use the "easy robust design times" button to paste in my session groupings.

3. The error message "The last interval must be >0 for this type of data" pops up and doesn't allow me to continue.

When I enter the time intervals without using the easy robust button and instead use the "set time intervals" button it gives me the same error. This dataset worked when I hadn't added in the death data and was using the regular robust design.

Should I be entering data as only 23 LD pairs by collapsing each week to a single data point? Wouldn't that lose the information gained from the occasional 2+ captures of the same individual in a week?

Now that I've looked at this for a few days, I believe I understand some things more but I still have some questions.

Since I trap for 7 days in a row per month, my .inp looks like a series of LLLLLLLD ( x 23 sessions).

But it still throwing the error "The last interval must be >0 for this type of data" and I'm unclear why?
