Sampling design for a mark-recapture experiment

Postby booewen » Thu Jan 26, 2006 4:28 pm

This is a general question not relating directly to MARK.

Mark-recapture is a model-based approach to inference. Hence has any work been done on selection of a balanced (weighted) sample to achieve bias-robust population estimates? i.e. structuring the mark-recapture experiment itself in a certain way to 'protect' against model failure.

Thanks
