vaiance matrix problem?

Postby amusante » Mon Dec 19, 2005 11:47 am

In nest survival for a constant and group survival model I am getting 0.0 for DSR real parameter estimates in the variance covariance matrix. Is it possible the variance is too small? The variances for other models seems to be calculating correct.

Tony,
I would check the full output for the model of interest to see if the estimated variances are really 0 or just quite small. The variance-covariance matrix output window doesn't show many decimal places for results. And, for DSR estimates, the variances can be fairly small, especially for simple models, but still be non-zero.
