questions concerning analysis/theory using program MARK

c-hat

Postby Luc te Marvelde » Thu Jul 31, 2003 3:35 am

Since a couple of months i'm using MARK. I analyse data about larus melanocephalus breeding in the Netherlands. For this I use only risightings/recaptures since i got little recoveries. My question is about the c-hat.

I read that the most powerful c-hat is calculated like: model deviance (which can be read in the 'results browser') derived by the mean boodstrapped deviance. My problem is that i can't find the mean bootstrapped deviance... maybe i'm just looking at the wrong spot... Who can help me...? Or tell me better (more powerfull) methods of calculating c-hat...

Thanks in advance,
Luc

its easy to get the mean deviance value from bootstrap, once u r viewing the bootstrap dbf file you click file on the browser bar and then click on means, after that a notepad window pops up and there u can see the bootstrap mean deviance value
