survival rate as a covariate to lambda

Postby arpat » Tue May 17, 2005 10:06 am

I am using Pradel's model to estimate the lambda for an adult population, and I am investigating the effect of juvenile survival on lambda of the adult population.

I estimated juvenile survival rates using an age-structured CJS model, and I want to include this rate as a temporal covariate for lambda of the adult population using Pradel's model. However, this approach does not properly incorporate the sampling variance associated with the estimation of juvenile survival, and treats these parameters as known values.

Note that this is not the adult survival rate that can be estimated within the Pradel's model.

Is there any known solution to this problem?
