mean/SD reported incorrectly in MARK

Postby jeffmoore » Sat Dec 11, 2004 7:12 pm

i just noticed that the "real parameter" output, which shows mean and SD for all individual covariates, has reported mean and SD for several of my covariates incorrectly.

For the example I'm speaking of, I have 39 indiv covariates. Mean/SD for the first 33 are reported correctly. But for the last 9, they are incorrect...WAY off. Example: I have one covariate whose values only range between 1.5 - 2.3, and MARK reports the mean of this covariate as 16.11.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and should I worry about this affecting model selection/parameter estimation?

thanks,
jeff

i opened up a different file; different model; different set of covars = 42; and result is the same. First 33 means/SD reported correctly in the "real parameters" output. Remaining 9 are reported incorrectly.
