No recoveries

I am using a Barker model for a long-lived bird with high breeding and winter site fidelity. I have no recoveries, so I have been constraining r=0.

If I wanted to incorporate pseudo-dead recovery data, could I code birds that have a terminal resight during the open interval as dead?

For example, an EH such as

'12020000'

would be recoded to

'12010000'.
