Interpretation of Fidelity from Burnham's joint analysis

Postby jwarren » Tue Nov 25, 2008 12:08 pm

I'm working on a small data set using Burnham's live recapture/dead recovery approach. I was omitting dead recoveries from our study site so that the interpretation of fidelity (F) would be straight forward (assuming emigration is permanent): 1 - permanent emigration. This means I am ignoring 5 of the 21 recoveries. I would like to be able to include all the recoveries, but am uncertain how to interpret fidelity in the situation where there are dead recoveries both on and off the study site. Any insights would be appreciated.
