questions concerning analysis/theory using program MARK

surveying point counts twice

Postby JReidy » Wed Oct 17, 2007 4:41 pm

I have point count data for a warbler for one year where I conducted a count at each point surveyed twice. Each point was surveyed once before the second round of surveying was done. In essence, there was a count conducted early in the breeding season and a count conducted mid-season.

I want to use program Mark to analyze this data and estimate the density using 4 covariates (date, time of detection, distance to bird, and wind) and compare this estimate to that estimated in program Distance and an estimate from territory mapping.

I do not know how to set up the data for deal with these 2 sampling periods. Any help is much appreciated.
