questions concerning analysis/theory using program MARK

results file not recognized

Postby roodbergen » Thu Mar 01, 2007 6:39 am

Dear people,

After opening the results file (.dbf) of a MARK-analysis in excel, the opened file was automatically saved (again as .dbf), and now MARK does not recognize it anymore.
This means I cannot use it in MARK to do new analyses, or to view parameter estimates etc. I have tried to make a new results database file using the models from this file (run>file model(s) ), but these cannot be found.

Is there a way to retrieve the original results database file or to change it so MARK can recognize it again?

Thank you.

All the best,

Maja:
You can open a MARK DBF file in Excel, but don't let Excel save it again because the links to the results in the FPT file get destroyed.

You'll have to recreate the current files that you have corrupted.
